Funding Opportunities

The Strengthening Families Washington team at DCYF is pleased to offer funding opportunities that provide support to families in Washington state. The following are our current funding opportunities: 

Senate Bill 6109 Funding

SB6109 was passed into law during the 2024 legislative session to address the impacts of the synthetic opioid crisis on families with children. The legislation made available $1.6 million in funding for home visiting slots for families experiencing high-potency synthetic opioid-related substance use disorders. These funds support existing home visiting providers currently contracting with DCYF/Home Visiting Services Account.

Start Up Funding

Start Up funding is Washington State Legislature-authorized funding available to one (1) new, Start-Up home visiting program. These funds are available to any eligible organization to begin the installation process to implement one of the eight eligible home visiting program models. Existing programs, whether funded by DCYF or other sources, are not eligible to apply for start-up funding.

Expansion Funding

Expansion funding is Washington State Legislature-authorized funding available to support expansion efforts of existing home visiting programs to serve additional families. Eligible programs are those currently contracting with the DCYF/Home Visiting Services Account.
